How it Works

As a student in our online teacher certification program, you’ll prepare for the rigor of today’s classrooms and get equipped to support and enhance the learning of a diverse population of students. You’ll also get clinical practice through an internship.

Each program is split into two sections:

Pre-Clinical

In this first section, your courses will immerse you in the foundations of effective teaching with comprehensive coursework, test preparation, and practical field-based experiences.

Clinical

Your clinical practice/internship runs concurrently with the program, so while you’re in courses that focus on content literacy and reading, you’ll be gaining hands-on teaching experience. You’ll fulfill the requirements for the K-5 Literacy Endorsement and content preparation and student-centered pedagogy.

Note: Program completion is approximate and will vary based on coursework, exams, and clinical practice benchmarks and milestones.

Green Quotes

As a former educator preparation program specialist with the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) and a current secondary educator, I understand the challenges that educators face daily but also understand the reward of providing students with quality instruction. This can be accomplished by providing aspiring educators with: (1) high-quality, relevant educator preparation and (2) effective mentorship.

The alternative teaching pathway when done in the Teach Us Arizona way can be the solution as the program goes above and beyond to provide candidates with personalized preparation, support, and mentorship throughout their professional journey in the program and classroom.
