Candidates will undergo pre-diagnostic and post-diagnostic assessments within the test preparation course. Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 80% on the post-diagnostic to qualify for the benchmark exam.
What’s a micro-competency and its purpose? For each competency (i.e., overarching concept found within your exam’s framework), there are many micro-competencies (i.e., the most granular level of a competency). To this end, we have intentionally designed and organized knowledge check questions and learning resources that align with each micro-competency, so you have opportunities to learn about and practice each aspect of each broader competency within your exam’s framework. This purposeful design was for you to identify your areas of strength and areas for growth (at the most granular level of the exam framework) as you progress throughout the course so that you have a clear understanding of what you need to focus more on before taking your certification exam.
At Teach Us, we offer a customized study plan based on the first diagnostic assessment that you will take in the test preparation course. This assessment will represent aligned standards along with the same number of multiple-choice and constructed response questions that are outlined on the licensure exam. After the diagnostic assessment is completed, you will be able to view and export your report which will become your study guide by representing the content areas you should focus on. You may find that on the report, you already mastered several content areas, so you will want to shift your focus to those areas that you have not yet mastered to prepare for your certification exam.
